On february 25th 1993 the Commemorate Association Fighter Bomber Wing 43 was founded.
It followed the association of “Members and Friends of Fighter Bomber Wing 43 Olenburg”, which was already founded in 1983.
First chairman was Colonel Heinz Kuring, former CO (Kommodore) of the Wing.
The Articel of Association obligates the association to maintain companionship (Kameradschaft) by organizing events and entertainment to preserve good relationship to Armed Fordes (Bundeswehr) and to other groups of public live.
Membership stands open to former members, friends and sponsors of all military units having ever been stationed on Filegerhorst Oldenburg.
Today we have approx. 330 members.
Members of the former WW II Fighter Wing 400 (Jagdgeschwader 400 Me 163 “Komet” v) may take part at all activities of the association.
